Our Latest Work

Response to Flood
In the wake of heavy floods in Jalna, Apulki Foundation provided emergency relief to over 500 families. Our team distributed food kits, clean water, hygiene supplies, and tarpaulin sheets. Quick action prevented disease outbreaks and helped restore basic living conditions within days.

Helping Children Be Safe During Disasters
Apulki Foundation organized a Disaster Preparedness Workshop in Beed, training over 200 children on how to stay safe during floods, earthquakes, and fires. Through games, simulations, and awareness tools, children learned practical steps to protect themselves and their families during emergencies.

Child Sponsorship Programme
Apulki Foundation’s Child Sponsorship Programme is dedicated to improving the well-being of vulnerable children by addressing their most urgent needs. When you sponsor a child, you are paired with one individual child, but your support helps uplift their entire community. Your monthly contribution provides essentials like clean drinking water, nutritious food, access to quality education, and healthcare—planned in partnership with the community itself. Through letters and photos, you’ll build a meaningful connection with the child you support. Together, we can help them break free from poverty and build a better future.

Workshop on Child Sexual Abuse
We conducted a sensitization workshop on child sexual abuse for 120 students and 35 teachers in Osmanabad. The session empowered children with knowledge on personal safety, boundaries, and how to seek help, while guiding educators on early warning signs and reporting protocols.

Sweaters and Blankets Distributed to 275 Children
As winter gripped rural parts of Latur, Apulki Foundation reached out with warmth. We distributed sweaters and blankets to 275 underprivileged children, ensuring they stayed protected from the biting cold. For many, it was their first proper winter wear—bringing not just comfort, but dignity.
Stories of Change

Ramesh Returns to School
At just 14, Ramesh Jadhav was forced to drop out of school in Jalgaon when his father lost his job. He began selling tea near the bus stop to support his family. His dreams of becoming an engineer faded fast.
A local Apulki Foundation community worker noticed Ramesh’s interest in books and invited him to a Shiksha for Children remedial education centre. With consistent evening classes, nutritious meals, and personal mentoring, Ramesh regained his confidence.
Within two years, he re-enrolled in formal school, and last year, he passed his SSC exams with 88%, topping his school in Mathematics.
“I thought my story was over. Apulki helped me rewrite it,” Ramesh smiles.

Anjali’s Journey to Study Abroad
Anjali Pawar, a bright young girl from a small village in Beed district, grew up in a family that struggled to earn even ₹150 a day through daily wage labor. Her parents had never attended school, but they dreamed of a better life for her.
Through Apulki Foundation’s remedial education programme, Anjali gained access to academic support, mentoring, and a nutrition programme that kept her healthy and focused. Her curiosity in science flourished, and with the help of volunteers and access to digital learning tools, she topped her 12th-grade board exams with 92%.
Today, Anjali is pursuing a degree in Environmental Science in the Netherlands—supported by an international scholarship she applied for with the guidance of Apulki’s career counselling team.
“If I hadn’t received that first notebook and warm encouragement, I’d still be working in the fields,” she says.

Priya’s Voice Breaks the Silence
Priya More, now 17, grew up in a slum community in Solapur, where she was subjected to years of sexual abuse by a close relative. Silenced by fear and stigma, Priya withdrew from school and battled severe depression.
Through Apulki Foundation’s child protection programme, a trained community volunteer recognized the signs of trauma. With care, counselling, legal aid, and support from a safe space initiative, Priya found the strength to speak out. Her abuser was brought to justice.
Priya returned to school and is now completing her HSC with a dream to become a social worker, helping other girls find their voice.
“Apulki didn’t just save me—they helped me believe I mattered.

The Kale Household Rises from Poverty
The Kale family from Osmanabad lived in a one-room hut with no electricity. Ramesh (the father) earned irregular wages as a farm labourer, and education seemed like a luxury.
Apulki Foundation stepped in through their livelihood empowerment programme. Ramesh received training in organic farming and a small grant to start vegetable cultivation. Meanwhile, his wife Sunita joined a self-help group and began stitching school uniforms for income.
Today, their monthly income has tripled. Their children, Shruti and Sohan, now attend school regularly and dream of becoming a nurse and a teacher, respectively.
“We never imagined our children would go to school, let alone dream of college. Apulki brought us dignity,” says Sunita.
